Room tour... Yes, some of the furniture doesn't match. Yes, the carpet needs cleaning. Yes, this is a super boring room tour. And, no, I'm not ridiculously old... I just like traditional furniture. Watch full screen and check out the annotations for details on what the crap is. I know the annotations are kind of fast. Not pictured is a bookshelf with souvenirs and momentos on it.. I might make another video just on that. The wall color is a beige/sand/khaki color.... the video lighting is weird. Things in it: - A cool fleur de lis decor vase with pouppori in it that my dad gave me - Le Monde de Chimeres print... a Paris restaurant whose name means "world of dreams" - Vase with flowers (a gift), and candles - Random flower/greenery vase in the corner - Candle, Bath & Body stress spray, box with night stuff in it... like earplugs, a magical invention... lotion... and Moleskines. - Old lamps I've had since my 1st apartment - A few postcards... I collect postcards of places I go. - Bedside tables that don't go with the rest of my furniture. - Green scrapbook of my life with old photos, letters, and other crap I recently made. - Scentsy-type candle warmer with "Sugar" scent in it - Photos of friends, family, and photography stuff... all the photos in my room are black and white. - Floral wall art I've had since my 1st apt - Stereo, Scentsy, PC, extra monitor, desk organizer with notebooks/pens/Koolaid, Zen sand garden - Charm bracelet - TV & DVD player & Wii on vintage-y ...

Home Décor: Bedroom Design Ideas - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Now we all know that a lot more happens in the master bedroom than just sleeping. And when designing your master bedroom, I want you to consider everything else that is going on in it, before you lay it out. I like to separate a master bedroom into zones. What other functions are happening in the bedroom? Is it also a home office? Is it also a sitting room? Are you watching TV? What else is going on in the room that needs to be considered? Now, the size of the bed. That is the first thing you should consider. And especially here in Manhattan we are very spatially constrained. So I always like to look at the size of the bed first and see how it works with everything else in the room. A good rule of thumb is to figure thirty inches around all sides of the bed. If you have that clearance, at least, at a minimum, you have the correct size bed for your space. Now once you have selected the bed size, you can start to lay out the zones around the bed for everything else you need to take place in the bedroom. And then when you have those zones located you can add lighting appropriately. So if you have a home office space, you can add a task light. If you like to sit and read in your bedroom, you could have have a nice reading lamp next to a chair. Table lamps beside the bed. And how you control the lighting is another thing to factor in.
