What exactly is LED lighting? LED lighting is quite a new term, but is becoming increasingly popular. LED stands for light emitting diodes, which basically means LED lights produce more light per watt than incandescent bulbs and last about 15 more times longer than normal bulbs. LED was invented in Russia in the 1920s, and now they have replaced not only the types of lighting in your home, but TVs, radios, telephones, calculators, and even watches. So now we all have the choice of this new LED lighting called, why is it better or worse than normal lighting that we use? Here's a look at the main advantages and disadvantages to LEDLights:
Advantages:
- LED lighting is much more efficient than incandescent bulbs and lasts longer life
